Canadian Paraplegic Association, Volunteer Tribute Award, 2008
In 2008, Michael was presented with the Canadian Paraplegic Association Ontario (CPAO) Volunteer Tribute Award. Michael acted as Chair of CPAO's Annual Toronto Wheelchair Relay for five years and helped raise over $1.25 million.
Ontario Trial Lawyers Association Board Member, 2007 - Present
Michael Shannon was recently elected to the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) and is a member of its Board of Directors. OTLA is the largest plaintiff trial organization in the country. Its mandate is to help protect innocent victims of other's negligence.
Ontario Trial Lawyers Associations Award for Distinguished Service, 2004
On October 22, 2004, Michael Shannon received the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) Distinguished Service award in recognition of the work that he has done for the organization. Michael was presented with the award before more than 300 attendees at OTLA’s annual fall conference.
